AQF levels

AQF levels and the AQF levels criteria are an indication of the relative complexity and/or depth of achievement and the autonomy required to demonstrate that achievement. For more information go to http://www.git.edu.au/how-to-enrol/nationally-recognised-training

As a general rule the following applies:

Certificate II level courses are for entry-level positions. This is suitable for people who have not been in the workforce at all or for a long time, e.g. junior office assistant.

Certificate III level courses are designed for people working under direct supervision. This is suitable for people who wish to move up from entry level positions or change careers e.g. receptionist, accounts clerk, personal assistant.

Certificate IV level courses are for those at team leaders/supervisor level. This is suitable for people who want to advance their careers or expand their skills and knowledge e.g. office administrator, team leader, project officer, HR assistant.

Diploma level courses are for people at management level positions. This is suitable for professionals and people wanting to advance to management positions e.g. executive officer, project manager, HR manager.

How does online training work?

Once you are enrolled, you will be sent your username and password to the online learning management system. If you are completing a full qualification, you will be required to complete an LLN assessment before commencing your course.

Your course is broken up into units. Each unit has content for you to read and assessments that you must complete. Once you have submitted an assessment, which is marked within 10 business days, your assessor will provide feedback on every question. You have 3 attempts to gain 100% on each assessment and you must complete all assessments in that unit to be deemed competent.

Once all the units in your course are marked as competent, you will be issued with a certificate if you have completed a full qualification, or statement of attainment if you have completed a short course.
